Frontier Dominion
Frontier Dominion drops you on a frontier outpost with too little of everything and asks you to turn it into a thriving settlement. It's a city-builder wrapped around a resource puzzle, with the constant tension of raiders and harsh seasons forcing you to plan ahead.
The clever part is how interconnected the systems are. Build too fast and you starve; turtle too hard and you fall behind on tech. I spent one whole session redesigning my supply roads just to shave travel time, and it genuinely mattered. The game trusts you to figure things out.
Matches play out at your own pace, and you can pause the clock whenever you want, which suits mobile perfectly. It leans more thoughtful than flashy, so set expectations accordingly — but if you like spreadsheets disguised as fun, you'll love it.
